Robert S. Bridwell, M.D., M.B.A. is medical advisor to Sofie Biosciences, Inc. He is board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Nuclear Medicine. Dr. Bridwell is the former Chief of Nuclear Medicine and Director of PET/CT Services at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C., and serves as an Assistant Professor of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland.

He currently advises SOFIE on its Medical Affairs initiatives, including clinical leadership of the Integrated Pathways Program, designed to provide educational support to SOFIE clients and their physicians regarding the appropriate and effective application and integration of advanced imaging in oncologic patient care management. The program focuses on continuous quality improvement, utilizing education, integrated evidence-based imaging care pathway development, and implementation of quality assurance guidelines. Under this program he has worked with leading institutions, including Montefiore Medical Center, West Penn Allegheny Health System, Bon Secours Health Care System, Georgetown University Medical Center and Jefferson Health Care System.

Dr. Bridwell is also the Founder of PETLinQ, a PET quality assurance and education service, now part of SOFIE. He helped develop the innovative PETLinQ IQ education website, which provides video lectures, physician guides, case studies, scientific resources and discussion boards, all designed to help ensure the quality of PET imaging services and the appropriate utilization of PET by referring physicians.

In the last five years, Dr. Bridwell has been invited to make numerous presentations, which have included more than 1200 hours of CME credit delivered to more than 350 institutions, 100 professional society meetings and more than 150 radiology groups throughout the United States, Canada and Europe.

When not educating the masses, Dr.Bridwell is enjoying the sereneness of his ranch and riding his trail horse, an old barrel racer, while spending time with his family, including several rescue dogs and cats.
